About The Position

The Kitchen Sales Associate sells Harmons’ fresh kitchen items by providing remarkable customer service. The role packages products, fills shelves, stocks the kitchen department, maintains cleanliness, and assists with other kitchen tasks as needed. The associate helps ensure product quality and freshness, appropriate assortment and inventory levels, accurate pricing and signage, and a clean, sanitized department that meets company appearance standards. Duties also include serving chef-prepared salads and entrees, slicing meats and cheeses to order, and restocking products and putting away deliveries.

Requirements

Current Food Handler’s Permit.
Enjoy working with and handling food products.
Ability to interpret policies and procedures.
Excellent organization and planning skills.
Solid verbal and listening skills to communicate effectively and efficiently with customers and fellow associates.
Ability to accept constructive review and be accountable for individual and team success.

Responsibilities

Follow established departmental and store policies and procedures.
Ensure the quality and freshness of products and services provided by the kitchen.
Maintain the appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the kitchen.
Confirm pricing accuracy and signage for all products, with particular attention to ad items.
Clean and sanitize the kitchen daily and maintain company appearance standards.
Serve chef-prepared salads and entrees from the chef case.
Slice meats and cheeses to order.
Provide excellent customer service.
Package kitchen products and place them on the sales floor.
Restock the kitchen department and help sort and put away deliveries.
Assist as needed throughout the kitchen department.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
