About The Position
Allegro Hyde Park is hiring a Full-Time Kitchen Porter / Dishwasher to join our culinary team in one of Tampa's most vibrant senior living communities. This role offers a consistent Tuesday–Saturday schedule with an early finish on Fridays and Saturdays, and Sundays and Mondays always off, providing a good work-life balance. The primary responsibility is to wash dishes, assist the culinary team with basic food prep, maintain a clean kitchen and dining environment, restock supplies, and follow food safety procedures. The ideal candidate will be dependable, hardworking, team-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- Must have an awareness of safety practices
- Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening
- Prior dishwasher or kitchen experience — a plus but not required
- A good cleaner with strong attention to detail and organization
- Dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- No certifications required
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of six (6) months food service (or related field) preferred
Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, flatware, and kitchen equipment throughout every shift
- Assist the culinary team with basic food prep and kitchen tasks as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and dining environment throughout service
- Restock supplies and keep stations ready throughout the shift
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
- Be a dependable, team-first presence in a busy, well-run kitchen
- Set tables, bus tables, wash dishes, assist the Cook as needed, and complete cleaning duties
- Thoroughly wash all dishes, cookware, flatware, and utensils
- Properly maintain all dishwashing equipment
- Work as part of the Dining Services team to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe operation of the kitchen
- Help contribute to high quality Dining Services operations by paying attention to food presentation and taste, and courteous responses to residents and associates during meal service
