About The Position

The position of Kitchen Manager is a fast-paced role that manages the daily back-of-house operations, including supervising and overseeing food preparation and production, overseeing proper handling, maintenance, and storage of all back-of-house items, understanding, managing, and practicing safe food-handling procedures, managing inventory and food costs, tracking waste, and controlling labor costs, and assisting with interviewing, hiring and training of back-of-house staff. All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Strong planning, problem-solving, and organization skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, reach, and bend for extended periods

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of 1 year of prior management experience in family or casual dining is preferred
  • ServSafe Food Manager Certification is preferred
