About The Position

Texas Roadhouse is seeking a Kitchen Manager to oversee all Back of House operations. The role is responsible for purchasing, receiving, preparing, and presenting food products in a timely manner and in accordance with established recipes and procedures. The position also manages Back of House staff, kitchen costs, food safety, inventory, cleanliness, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Supervise and oversee food production and preparation in accordance with established recipes and procedures.
Work with management to enforce employment policies and oversee restaurant cleanliness and guest safety.
Direct productivity to maintain efficient food item ticket times.
Manage Back of House employee performance, including evaluations, coaching, and discipline.
Develop key employees, assistant managers, and hourly employees through daily performance feedback during one-on-ones.
Conduct formal line Taste & Temp checks and oversee kitchen inventory and safety.
Oversee proper handling, maintenance, and storage of items.
Understand, manage, and practice safe food handling procedures.
Manage food costs, track waste, and control kitchen labor costs.
Direct Back of House work, including setting hours and weekly schedules and assigning tasks before, during, and after restaurant operating hours.
Train Back of House employees on equipment maintenance and cleaning procedures.
Review applications, interview candidates, and hire or recommend hiring Back of House employees.
Create a safe, fun, and clean work environment consistent with the company’s core values and operational goals.
