About The Position

The Territory Golf & Country Club is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee the daily operations of our kitchen. This position is responsible for leading kitchen staff, maintaining food quality standards, managing inventory and ordering, and ensuring efficient execution of lunch service, dinner service, tournaments, and private events. The Kitchen Manager is a working leader who is comfortable stepping onto the line during busy services while also overseeing staffing, training, organization, and kitchen systems.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of professional kitchen experience.
  • Previous leadership experience required.
  • Experience managing inventory, ordering, and food costs.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead by example and work effectively under pressure.
  • Food Handler Certification required or ability to obtain prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with banquet or high-volume event cooking preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all daily kitchen operations and food production.
  • Lead, train, and develop kitchen staff while maintaining accountability and performance standards.
  • Create prep lists and ensure proper kitchen organization.
  • Maintain consistency in recipes, portioning, and plating standards.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, receiving, and product rotation.
  • Monitor food costs and minimize waste.
  • Assist with menu development and seasonal offerings.
  • Coordinate food production for daily dining, tournaments, and private events.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Maintain equipment and communicate maintenance needs.
  • Step into active cooking roles as needed during service.
