About The Position

Embark Behavioral Health is seeking a dedicated and organized Kitchen Manager to lead food service operations at our residential treatment center in Greeley, Colorado. This role is responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations, including meal planning, food preparation, inventory management, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. The Kitchen Manager plays a vital role in supporting the well-being of our adolescent residents by providing nutritious, high-quality meals in a structured and therapeutic environment. Ideal candidates bring strong leadership skills, knowledge of dietary guidelines, and a passion for creating a positive, team-oriented kitchen culture. Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older
  • Must hold a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalency
  • Colorado Food Handler’s certification
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Must possess a valid State of Colorado driver's license, maintain a clean driving record, and be able to drive for work-related purposes
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Experience preparing healthy meals and accommodating dietary restrictions
  • Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be physically capable of performing essential job functions, including crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques. Training will be provided.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ year experience in a residential or institutional setting
  • Experience cooking for groups of 20+ people
  • Familiarity with youth care environments

Responsibilities

  • Plan, purchase, and prepare nutritious, high-quality meals for residents and staff, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner throughout the week
  • Lead kitchen operations for special events such as parent visits, tours, and community gatherings
  • Ensure meals are thoughtfully prepared, presented, and aligned with the needs of a therapeutic residential environment
  • Maintain strict adherence to health codes, food safety standards, and sanitation practices
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and food costs while operating within a defined budget
  • Accommodate and adapt menus to meet diverse dietary needs and restrictions
