About The Position

The Kitchen Manager oversees all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, staff performance, and cost control. This position plays a key role in maintaining an efficient, motivated kitchen team and supporting the overall success of the restaurant.

Requirements

Proven leadership experience in a high-volume kitchen or restaurant environment.
Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
Experience managing inventory, labor, and cost control systems.
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

Responsibilities

Hire, train, and supervise kitchen staff to maintain a high-performing team.
Develop and implement training programs for new hires and continuing development.
Manage schedules, delegate tasks, and monitor labor costs for operational efficiency.
Provide coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations.
Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
Enforce cleaning and maintenance procedures throughout the kitchen.
Monitor food quality, consistency, and presentation standards.
Manage ordering, receiving, and storage of all kitchen supplies and ingredients.
Track inventory usage, control stock levels, and minimize waste.
Maintain food cost goals through effective forecasting and purchasing practices.
Oversee food preparation and production to ensure timely service.
Conduct regular equipment checks and coordinate maintenance as needed.
Participate in hiring decisions, budgeting, and operational planning with leadership.
Partner with management to continuously improve kitchen systems and processes.
