About The Position

Our Kitchen Managers (KM) understand the overall mission, culture, and philosophy of Zeeks and are able to translate and implement them effectively on a day-to-day basis. Their role is to manage all aspects of food quality, cost of goods sold (COGS) and speed metrics for every shift- even when not present. Zeeks is fanatical about its standards for food quality, cleanliness and customer service, and bringing a kickass experience to our guests. The KM must have the ability to train their kitchen team on Zeeks' food standards and culture, resulting in a high-powered kitchen that can produce stellar Zeeks pizza and salads every time. At your store, you'll need to direct and train others to achieve their goals in a positive and motivating manner, and must be able to communicate effectively and delegate. The ability to remain level-headed under stress and stay positive is an absolute must, because life is way too short to work with assholes!

Requirements

  • 21+ with a flexible schedule
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, promote and foster a positive work environment
  • Proven organizational and managerial skills
  • Motivated self-starter
  • Recognize profitability is essential to our success
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback
  • Demonstrated commitment to high standards
  • Ability to remain level-headed and think clearly under pressure
  • Focused on the customer experience
  • 2+ years of previous management or pizza experience
  • Reliably help to open/close the store

Responsibilities

  • Identification of staffing needs within the restaurant
  • Training and mentoring your crew
  • Ensure all shifts have effective leadership and run well, even when not present
  • Evaluate staff performance and provide helpful and consistent feedback, in-line with Zeeks’ procedures
  • Generate weekly kitchen schedules while tracking productivity, sales forecasting and special events
  • Manage inventory and order supplies from vendors
  • Lead and manage shifts when present in restaurant
  • Resolve customer service, product outages, facilities, and other unforeseen issues as necessary
  • Maintain a clean kitchen, consistent with Zeeks’ standards
  • Count and report monthly inventory
  • Solid communication with GM, being an effective member of your store's management team
  • Proactively manage productivity, cost of goods (“COGS”), and other key drivers of store performance
