About The Position

The Fire Suppression Technician performs a broad range of maintenance, repair, and installation support, also incorporating inspection, testing, and troubleshooting of kitchen hood suppression systems and portable fire extinguishers. The role involves identifying potentially unfavorable site conditions that could compromise system performance and performing on-site emergency troubleshooting. Maintaining proper documentation for all work performed is essential.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Two (2) years experience
• Drivers License and clean MVR required
• Microsoft Office, including Work and Excel.

Nice To Haves

• Thorough understanding of NFPA, manufacturer and local fire codes for restaurant fire suppression systems.
• Pre-engineered Kitchen Fire Suppression Systems Permit and Portable Fire Extinguisher Permit preferred

Responsibilities

• Inspecting and repairing pre-engineered restaurant fire suppression systems.
• Perform system repairs which includes installation of nozzles and piping and installation, removal or replacement of agent cylinders
• Perform inspection, service, repair and maintenance of wet and dry chemical fire extinguishing systems/portable fire extinguishers.
• Identifying potentially unfavorable site condition that could compromise the performance of mechanical and/or components of the system.
• Performing on-site emergency troubleshooting of fire suppression systems.
• Maintain proper documentation for all work performed.
