Under the general guidance of the Culinary management team and Main Kitchen Cook 1 team members, this position focuses on gaining culinary experience through participating in the day to day operations of the Main Kitchen. The Kitchen Helper will assist in the preparation of breakfast, lunch, and dinner items in a timely manner, maintaining established quality standards and demonstrating basic knowledge of products, their uses, and availability. This role involves assisting in the preparation of cold dishes, salads, cold meats, fish, and poultry dishes, performing simpler tasks such as slicing and grinding meat, working at banquet action stations, making pasta, and preparing sandwiches, burgers, and salads according to menu specifications. Additionally, the position requires mixing dressings and sauces, setting up and breaking down buffets, and assisting in running food during events. The Kitchen Helper will work under the direction of higher-rated cooks and may train for and perform routine cook work under general supervision.
