This position will assist in preparing meals to serve or package for various populations from youth to adult and/or transport in bulk to satellite meal sites.

Requirements

A minimum of one year of equivalent experience in a full-service kitchen in a health care facility, school or restaurant.
Knowledge of quantity cooking: the ability to follow standardized recipes and convert measurements to accommodate the number of meals needed.
Knowledge of all kitchen equipment and utensils usage.
Knowledge of Health Department regulations.
Ability to follow written and oral instructions, train, supervise, and direct site staff and volunteers.
Adhere to dress code and personal hygiene practices.
Must be cleared by a Bureau of Criminal Affairs (BCA) background study.
Must have a driver's license.
Must pass a Motor Vehicle Check (MVR).

Responsibilities

Assist in preparing meals to serve or package for various populations from youth to adult.
Transport meals in bulk to satellite meal sites.
Engage with diners to promote a welcoming and inviting atmosphere.
