About The Position

Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Kitchen Helper at Tampa Bay Girls Academy in Tampa, Florida. Tampa Bay Girls Academy - Secure is comprised of multiple co-located residential commitment programs serving high-risk and max-risk females' youth aged 12-21. These programs provide services utilizing evidence-based practices to provide comprehensive care, treatment, and supervision. Youth will also receive psychotherapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling. After 40 years of improving the lives of youth, we are looking for passionate advocates to continue the legacy of helping young people become successful adults. Requirements

Two years of cooking experience
Servsafe Food Handlers Certification
High school diploma or equivalent
Hold a food‑handler’s license
At least 21 years of age
Able to pass a criminal‑background check
Able to pass a drug screen
Able to pass a physical
Able to pass a TB test
Successfully pass a search of the child‑abuse central registry

Responsibilities

Maintaining the entire dining and food‑preparation facility in a constant state of sanitary acceptance, including the kitchen, dining room, all storage areas, outside areas, refuse areas, garbage cans, and all loading docks.
Ensuring that all areas meet or exceed Federal, State, and local sanitation requirements.
Cleaning and maintaining small wares and food‑preparation equipment.
Providing exceptional customer service to students, staff, and guests.
