About The Position

The University of Iowa Health Care department of Food and Nutrition Services is seeking a Kitchen Helper I to perform routine cleaning and other duties in the General Hospital food service area under direct supervision. The position is performed fully on campus at the General Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa, and is listed at 50% time. The schedule alternates weekly. Week A is Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., with Tuesday and Saturday off. Week B is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., with Sunday and Thursday off. The salary is $17.66 per hour. Use appropriate cleaning equipment.
Clean designated kitchen areas, the dish room, and restrooms.
Transport soiled and clean dishes.
Empty trash and recyclable material containers.
