About The Position

As a Kitchen Facilities Technician, you will perform a variety of advanced journey level, lead and/or specialized trade tasks which could include upholstery, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry kitchen equipment and general maintenance. You may act as a lead worker for assigned shift and ensure assignments are distributed and completed. You will perform duties with minimum or no supervision, provide advanced support duties to higher level management staff, and perform related tasks within your area of assignment. This role involves maintaining buildings by performing major routine plumbing, electrical, carpentry, kitchen equipment and HVAC maintenance. You will receive work assignments via HotSOS, execute assignments and complete work orders as directed. You will notify the Maintenance Supervisor or Manager concerning needs of major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, cooling, plumbing and equipment. You will also contact and coordinate work with outside vendors as directed.

Requirements

  • Applicant must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent plus five (4) years’ experience in one of the required related maintenance fields (Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, Carpentry or Kitchen Equipment).
  • Advanced plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC and general building repair.
  • Knowledge of Building management systems.
  • Knowledge of operations of Central Plant and emergency power distribution systems.
  • Interpret electrical wiring diagrams/drawings.
  • Read blueprints.
