About The Position

The Kitchen Design Equipment Specialist is part of the Equipment Sales Support team and reports to the Lead Equipment Specialist for the region. This role applies knowledge of kitchen operations, workflow, equipment applications, and code requirements, along with technical design skills, to create efficient and practical kitchen layouts, equipment recommendations, and technical drawings for customers. The Kitchen Design and Equipment Specialist will be responsible for helping position and sell design services as part of the team’s overall customer offering. This role will also be expected to contribute to defined revenue goals associated with design services. The position works closely with customers, sales representatives, and other project stakeholders to support the design process and help deliver effective, well-planned kitchen solutions as well as accurate and professional technical drawings.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Business or 5 years of equivalent work experience
  • Strong Computer and software proficiency CAD, (must have) Revit, TEAMS, Zoom, Photoshop, HubSpot, Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, RM, valid driver’s license
  • Must have at least 10 years in relatable field or specifically in selling Food Service Equipment
  • Problem solving and critical thinking
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Energetic, positive attitude
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining positive behavior
  • Ability to work independently, or with others in a team environment
  • Detail oriented, time and resource management skills, organizational and follow -through skills

Responsibilities

  • Help develop, position, and sell design and layout services as a professional, revenue-generating offering of the department.
  • Collaborate with customers, sales representatives, and project stakeholders to define project requirements, operational needs, budgets, and timelines.
  • Conduct site visits, perform field measurements, and complete pre-site surveys to evaluate field conditions, verify existing site dimensions, and assess utility locations, access points, and other factors affecting equipment layout and installation.
  • Create kitchen layouts, equipment recommendations, and technical drawings that support efficient operations and customer objectives.
  • Recommend preferred equipment solutions and vendor partners based on application, value, and project requirements.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and field conditions to identify design, code, and coordination issues.
  • Support project execution through coordination with sales, project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
