About The Position

A Commercial Kitchen Equipment Installer is responsible for delivering, uncrating, assembling, setting, and leveling in place commercial kitchen equipment. Duties and responsibilities performed by Commercial Kitchen Equipment Installers are intended to support Avanti Restaurant Solutions installation efforts for regional projects, both chain and contract.

  • Advanced mechanical skills
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and O/M manuals
  • Current working knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment (i.e. hoods, ice machines, dish machines, steamers, ranges, convection ovens, etc.)
  • Strong working computer and mobile device(s) knowledge
  • Ability to assist with project management on-site
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent customer service attitude
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Ability to diagnose and address inventory discrepancy issues from beginning to end
  • Flexible in schedule to enable the company to meet customer needs – overtime and weekends may be necessary and required.

Responsibilities

  • Unload trucks and safely move equipment to limit damage
  • Set commercial kitchen equipment in place for connection(s) to be made by contractor
  • Hanging/securing of shelving, racking, and other wall or ceiling products (i.e., pot racks, fry cutters, etc.)
  • Read work orders and kitchen plans, as required for installation
  • Ensuring installations are properly secured in place.
  • Ensure all work documentation is fully and accurately completed – Complete delivery tickets (customer signature), log hours to correct job, taking pictures of job sites and/or progress.
  • Accurately and consistently tracking expenses incurred during course of job project according to company procedures
  • Attend required safety and product training
  • Adhere to all company safety standards and protocol
  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times
  • Load and secure tools and equipment in truck
  • Take proper care of all company issued tools and equipment
  • Daily truck inspections and cleaning
  • Submit daily paperwork in a timely fashion
  • Communicate with Field Supervisor on job progress
  • Inspect installation with Field Supervisor, contractor, and/or customer
