About The Position

The Kitchen Custodian Cleaner performs specialized cleaning throughout Casino, Hotel, Spa, and food-and-beverage premises using specialized or skilled cleaning methods. The role includes detailed cleaning of kitchens and other designated areas, floor care, and operating and maintaining heavy cleaning equipment. The employee provides service to guests and internal clients and follows applicable internal controls, standard operating procedures, and Tribal Regulations. The position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

• Must be able to communicate in English.
• Five years of custodial experience, including experience with specialized cleaning equipment.
• Must have a valid California state driver’s license.
• Must be able to walk up to 1½ miles, climb stairs, and sit at a desk or workstation for the duration of the shift.
• Must be able to work in a smoke-filled environment.
• Must be able to grasp, bend, lift, carry, or otherwise move goods weighing at least 30 pounds intermittently.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed cleaning of specialized areas, including kitchen machinery and designated Spa and casino-floor areas.
• Perform general floor care as needed, including stripping, waxing, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and carpet cleaning.
• Clean and sanitize cook’s lines in all food outlets.
• Clean and sanitize food storage areas and shipping and receiving areas.
• Operate and perform preventive maintenance on heavy cleaning equipment, including street sweepers, utility carts, power washers, Genie lifts, and pallet jacks.
• Notify a supervisor of unsafe conditions, areas or machinery requiring attention or repair, and materials or chemicals requiring restocking.
• Provide excellent guest service to guests and internal clients.
• Comply with applicable ACCRS and SRC System of Internal Controls, Standard Operating Procedures, and Tribal Regulations.
