About The Position

The Kitchen Lead is responsible for coordinating daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and supporting the kitchen team. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while following the direction of the Executive Chef.

Requirements

  • Previous kitchen or food service experience (lead or supervisory experience preferred)
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Ability to follow direction and maintain standards set by the Executive Chef
  • Must be available to work weekends
  • Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Cooking or Culinary classes
  • 2+ years of working in a full-service restaurant as a Lead Cook/Supervisor
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Must have a current Food Handlers Management Certification

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and support kitchen staff during shifts
  • Ensure food is prepared consistently and meets quality standards
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety compliance
  • Follow and execute all directions from the Executive Chef
  • Assist with scheduling, inventory, and ordering supplies
  • Train new team members and reinforce best practices
  • Help manage workflow to ensure timely service
  • Assisting chef in preparing food and attending to any culinary tasks that arise.
  • Supervising food and cooling room temperatures.
  • Accepting or rejecting ingredients from suppliers.
