About The Position

The Kitchen Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment. This includes cleaning equipment, utensils, containers, floors, walls, and other kitchen surfaces. The role also involves assisting with deliveries, managing waste disposal, and ensuring all operations adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines. The position requires effective communication and teamwork to contribute to a positive and productive work atmosphere.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
Must meet all knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Must be eighteen (18) years of age for Arizona properties and twenty-one years (21) of age for New Mexico properties.
No felony, theft or stealing convictions.
Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, obtain and maintain gaming license.
Skill in the use of cleaning tools, chemicals, cleaners, and disinfectants.
Ability to communicate, read, and write clearly in basic English.
Ability to demonstrate outstanding guest service at all times.
Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment.
Ability to perform in a professional appearance and manner.
Ability to obtain food handler’s permit.

Nice To Haves

Work experience in the restaurant or kitchen maintenance area is preferred.

Responsibilities

Keeping all equipment, utensils, and containers clean and ready for use.
Cleaning floors, walls, wash tubs, counters, and shelves.
Cleaning the mop sink area.
Emptying boxes and trash.
Properly disposing of grease and garbage left in pots and pans.
Assisting in unloading delivery trucks.
Defrosting and cleaning refrigerators and iceboxes.
Dumping and cleaning the garbage can.
Carrying supplies from refrigerators and storerooms to the butcher shop, galleys, and pantry.
Stocking serving stations with dishes and utensils.
Working according to established procedures of the Casino.
Operating within proper safety and sanitation guidelines.
Maintaining good communication with co-workers and a positive and professional work environment.
Observing safety rules and maintaining a safe environment.
Contributing to a team effort.
Performing other duties as required.
