This role is responsible for heavy-duty cleaning of kitchen equipment and facilities, following proper sanitation and infection control procedures.

Requirements

• High School or GED
• Strong communication (both oral and written), and customer service skills.
• Ability to read well and write legibly.
• Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
• Basic computer skills.
• Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

Nice To Haves

• 1-2 years in food service.

Responsibilities

• Performs other duties as assigned
• Cleans heavy duty kitchen equipment and facilities (i.e. broilers, ovens, fryers, floors, ice machine, etc.). Practices safe handling of cleaning chemicals
• Follows and completes cleaning assignments in accordance with monthly cleaning list and daily assignment sheets.
• Transports garbage from kitchen/cafeteria to outside dumpsters.
• Complies with departmental and hospital wide policies pertaining to proper sanitation and infection control procedures.
• Uses correct cleaning chemicals for designated cleaning tasks. Insures all chemicals are stored in the chemical closet at end of shift.
• Delivers food and beverages for catering functions as assigned.
