About The Position

Kensington School is seeking a Kitchen Attendant for its early childhood center. This role involves managing the kitchen, ensuring cleanliness and smooth operation, and delivering meals to classrooms. The attendant will be responsible for collecting, washing, rinsing, and sanitizing all dishes after each meal service. This position is central to the school's operations, supporting teachers and children, and fostering a family-like environment.

Requirements

• Experience working around food allergies/dietary restrictions.
• Must love children.
• 95% of this job is dishwashing.
• This position is 100% on your feet.
• Must complete a physical, including immunization record.
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
• Must pass a state of Illinois background check.
• Must have a ServeSafe training certificate, manager certification preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Manager certification for ServeSafe preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the kitchen, ensuring it is clean and runs smoothly.
• Deliver meals to each classroom.
• Collect all dishes after meal service.
• Wash, rinse, and sanitize all dishes until ready for the next meal service.
• Support teachers and children.
