About The Position

Kensington School is looking for a Kitchen Attendant for our early childhood center. Our food is catered by Organic Life daily, so no cooking is involved. The role involves managing the kitchen, ensuring cleanliness and smooth operation, and delivering meals to classrooms. The Kitchen Attendant will also collect, wash, rinse, and sanitize all dishes after meal service, preparing them for the next meal. This position is central to the school's operations, supporting teachers and children, and offers a family-like team environment.

Requirements

• Experience working around food allergies/dietary restrictions.
• Must love children.
• 95% of this job is dishwashing.
• This position is 100% on your feet.
• Must complete a physical, including immunization record.
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
• Must pass a state of Illinois background check.
• Must have a ServeSafe training certificate, manager certification preferred.

Nice To Haves

• ServeSafe manager certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the kitchen to ensure it is clean and runs smoothly.
• Deliver meals to each classroom.
• Collect all dishes after meal service.
• Wash, rinse, and sanitize all dishes until ready for the next meal service.
