About The Position

The Kitchen Associate works in Dorothy Lane Market’s Kitchens, helping prepare Made Right Here foods, including entrees for the Gourmet Takeaway section, salads, and made-from-scratch soups. The role offers the opportunity to work with fresh ingredients alongside experienced food professionals. It may suit either a seasoned professional or someone looking to develop culinary skills. Associates are expected to provide Honestly Better® Food and Service and practice the DLM Team Values: Be Honest, Safe, Helpful, and Hard-Working.

Requirements

• Food safety expertise.
• Willingness to learn about and taste great food.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Standing for long periods of time.
• Lifting up to 60 pounds.
• Availability to work holidays and weekends.

Nice To Haves

• A desire to make folks happy through food and service.
• Being 18 years or older is preferred.
• Prior culinary experience or an interest in sharpening culinary skills.
