This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen while assisting with food preparation, dishwashing, sanitation, and catering support. Requirements

  • Previous food service, hospitality, healthcare, or kitchen experience preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • ServSafe Certification required within 6 months of employment
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout shift
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers, patients, and visitors
  • Comfortable working in a healthcare environment while maintaining patient confidentiality

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, café, dishroom, and storage areas
  • Sweep and mop floors following safety procedures
  • Remove trash regularly and transport to designated disposal areas
  • Routinely inspect kitchen and café areas for cleanliness and stocking needs
  • Assist in maintaining sanitation standards and safe work practices
  • Clean grease interceptor as needed
  • Operate commercial dishwasher to clean and sanitize dishes and kitchenware
  • Record dishwasher temperatures and follow sanitation procedures
  • Utilize triple-sink sanitation procedures if necessary
  • Pre-soak and clean cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment
  • Return sanitized items to proper storage locations
  • Retrieve and transport soiled dishes from patient care areas
  • Assist with food preparation under the direction of kitchen leadership
  • Prepare café items and assist with plating meals as needed
  • Help organize and store food deliveries and supplies
  • Prepare and deliver catering orders throughout the facility
  • Set up catering carts and ensure all necessary items are included
  • Return after events to collect and clean remaining materials
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of all catering requests
