About The Position
The Hunger Coalition is seeking a full-time, temporary Kitchen Assistant to support its Community Kitchen programs. This role is based onsite at their facility in Bellevue and operates from Monday through Thursday, for 25 hours per week, from July 29 to August 21, 2026. The salary for this position is $28 per hour.
Requirements
- Works well with persons of varied sexual orientation, gender identity, racial, ethnic, cultural, socioeconomic backgrounds, and with individuals who are differently-abled.
Nice To Haves
- Some experience in a commercial kitchen preferred.
- Knowledge of Spanish preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support preparation and delivery of 2 community meals each week.
- Support the preparation of lunches for the children's food program 2 times a week.
- Collaborate with the Kitchen Coordinator to plan meals, order, and store ingredients.
- Follow all safety rules and compliance requirements in the kitchen.
- Ensure all volunteers follow necessary safety rules in the kitchen.
