About The Position
We are seeking a reliable and versatile Kitchen Assistant to support the daily operations of a high-volume kitchen. This role assists with food preparation, meal service, cleaning, dishwashing, and inventory while helping maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment.
Requirements
- Previous kitchen or food service experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift and move inventory boxes and supplies
Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and basic cooking for daily meal service
- Set up food stations and bring out food for meal periods
- Monitor food stations during meals and replenish items as needed
- Check and stock paper goods before and during meal service
- Wash pots, pans, dishes, and kitchen equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen workspace
- Assist with post-meal cleanup of the kitchen and dining areas
- Unload deliveries and safely store food, supplies, and inventory
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure efficient daily operations
- Assist with additional kitchen and food service responsibilities as needed
