The Kitchen Assistant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and operations of the dishwashing area while ensuring compliance with all company and department policies. This role involves assisting the Cook with meal preparation, including washing, cleaning, peeling, cutting, and chopping various food items. The assistant is also responsible for properly cleaning and sanitizing all food preparation areas, washing and storing cooking appliances and utensils, and maintaining kitchen hygiene through sweeping, mopping, and wiping surfaces. Additional duties include assisting with unloading and organizing delivered food supplies, transferring ingredients as instructed, maintaining an organized and labeled cooler, performing weekly deep cleans, and disposing of trash.
