Kitchen Assistant / Dishwasher
About The Position
Join Spring Arbor Senior Living as a Dishwasher / Kitchen Prep team member in Winchester, VA. This PRN role is ideal for someone who is dependable, hardworking, and enjoys being part of a team that ensures a smooth operation. You will be responsible for behind-the-scenes work to create an exceptional dining experience for residents. The schedule includes rotating shifts, including weekends and some holidays. The primary responsibilities include setting tables, bussing tables, washing dishes, assisting the cook, and completing cleaning duties. This role is perfect for someone who likes staying busy, working with their hands, and contributing to a positive environment where teamwork and kindness matter.
Requirements
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
- Must have an awareness of safety practices.
- Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening.
- The Community is a drug free workplace.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of six (6) months food service (or related field) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Thoroughly wash all dishes, cookware, flatware, and utensils.
- Properly maintain all dishwashing equipment.
- Work as part of the Dining Services team to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe operation of the kitchen.
- Help contribute to high quality Dining Services operations by paying attention to food presentation and taste, and courteous responses to residents and associates during meal service.
- Set tables.
- Bus tables.
- Assist the Cook as needed.
- Complete cleaning duties.
