About The Position

The United Protestant Association of NSW Limited (“UPA”) is a values-driven non-profit care organisation serving local communities throughout NSW. They are looking for a Kitchen Assistant/Cook to join their team at Holbrook Village Hostel in the Riverina Murray Region. This role involves cooking and kitchen duties, with availability required on weekends. The primary focus is to provide a high standard of quality care to facility residents by maintaining a high standard of cooking and food service within the facility.

Requirements

Experienced in planning, preparation and cooking fresh meals
Experience in table service and clearing duties
Knowledge and experience in working to the compliance of the Food Safety Standards to HACCP level
Excellent communication skills
Team player who is highly motivated
Availability to work various shifts across various days
Vaccinated in accordance with UPA’s Immunisation and Vaccination Policy (including proof of the required doses of a TGA approved COVID-19 vaccine and annual influenza)
Undertake a National Criminal History Check
Pre-Employment Medical Assessment

Nice To Haves

Experience in working in a fast-paced kitchen and or bulk food preparation
Experience in Aged Care
Current First Aid Certificate
