Food Services Assistant - Myoora Hostel
About The Position
We are looking for Food Services Assistants to join our team at Myoora aged care facility in Henty. Join a large and supportive team, with availability on both weekdays and weekends. You will bring your experience in hospitality, customer service and safe food preparation and handling to join our catering team to ensure the smooth running of food services. This includes maintaining cleanliness of kitchen areas, assisting with meal preparation and supporting the serving and delivery of meals. We are seeking people to provide a high standard of quality care to facility residents, by providing and maintaining a high standard of food service within the facility.
Requirements
- Food handler basic training (Food Authority) or equivalent
- Experienced in preparation, serving and delivery of fresh meals
- Experience in table service and clearing duties
- Knowledge and experience in working to the compliance of the Food Safety Standards to HACCP level
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Excellent communication skills
- Team player who is highly motivated
- Availability to work various shifts across various days
- Enthusiastic, hard working and caring
- Current and valid Australian working rights (citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid working visa)
- Willing to undertake pre-employment checks which include National Police Check, Reference Checks, Qualification and professional registration verification
- Vaccinated in accordance with UPA’s Immunisation and Vaccination Policy
Nice To Haves
- Experience in working in a fast-paced kitchen and or bulk food preparation
- Experience in Aged Care
