About The Position

Experience in food production for large groups, and/or background in catering or restaurant work.
Ability to plan and execute a menu.
Ability to run an efficient team that delivers top-notch food quality to groups of up to 200 people.
Must be 18 years of age or older.

Nice To Haves

Previous kitchen experience is a plus, but is not required for Kitchen Staff.
Previous kitchen experience is a plus, but is not required for Assistant Head Cook.

Responsibilities

Serve in the kitchen as a line cook, supporting food and fellowship.
Assist in kitchen management and menu execution.
Line out staff or close out a shift in the head chef/head cook’s absence.
Manage counselor-in-training and staff lodge/dish crews to maintain cleanliness of the lodge and other shared spaces.
Finish any work not completed by CIT crews and maintain the lodge in its entirety.
Run one of the A/U Ranches kitchens during summer programming.
Plan and execute a menu.
Run an efficient team that delivers top-notch food quality to groups of up to 200 people.
