About The Position

The Kit Inspector is responsible for conducting thorough inspections of fabric kit products to ensure they meet company quality standards, customer specifications, and safety requirements before packaging and shipment. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product excellence and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience in furniture manufacturing, woodworking, upholstery, or quality control.
  • Strong understanding of furniture construction methods and materials.
  • Ability to read work orders.
  • Knowledge of quality control standards and inspection procedures.
  • Attention to detail and strong observational skills.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
  • Ability to lift and move furniture as required.
  • Familiarity with ISO quality standards.
  • Experience using measuring tools (calipers, tape measures, levels).
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work under deadlines in a production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform final quality inspections on fabric kits
  • Verify product dimensions, materials, and assembly accuracy against specifications and work orders.
  • Inspect for defects such as scratches, uneven color, fabric flaws, stitching errors, or structural weaknesses.
  • Approve, reject, or flag items for rework based on inspection results.
  • Document inspection results accurately in quality control reports.
  • Communicate defects and quality concerns to production supervisors and relevant departments.
  • Ensure products are clean, properly labeled, and ready to inventory.
  • Maintain inspection tools and ensure adherence to workplace safety standards.
  • Assist in identifying recurring quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
