About The Position

SEKISUI Aerospace is seeking an experienced, semi-skilled Kit Cutter I for a weekend 2nd shift position at their Renton location. This role involves preparing Prepreg materials for specific parts according to Standard Work Instructions. The ideal candidate will have acquired skills through training and experience, operate machinery, and work under moderate supervision. Requirements

Able to communicate questions and concerns with others in work group.
Ability to read and understand detailed instructions.
Ability to utilize computers and related technology efficiently.
Excellent hand eye coordination; attention to detail.
Skilled in basic math calculations and the use of measurement tools.

Nice To Haves

Experience in composites preferred.
Two years or more of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

Verify materials being used in accordance to the manufacturing plan; using a computer program to print out materials forms.
Check for accuracy in all prior documentation of manufacturing planning; reporting all discrepancies and schedule concerns to the supervisor.
Select the determined material, cut Prepreg material either using templates, 3 axis CNC machine or computer-based program according to Standard Work Instructions for each part, roll material into cardboard tube for support, and attach part tag in preparation for delivery to layup.
Adhere to schedules and time allowances for production requirements; ensuring that the materials provided contain sufficient hours to produce a part without violating specification requirements.
