About The Position

The Kingdom Kids Director will provide coordination and administrative support to the Kingdom Kids team. This role involves supporting the Kids Pastor in communication, encouragement, and administration of volunteers. A key aspect of this position is recruiting, leading, and training Sunday volunteers, as well as managing the onboarding process for new leaders, including background checks and paperwork. The director will also be responsible for the spiritual development within the Kingdom Kids Ministry, including curriculum development, printing, and preparation. Personal spiritual development is also a focus, encouraging regular engagement with scripture, worship, prayer, and discipleship. The role requires regular investment in leaders through various communication methods and participation in team spiritual development sessions. Additionally, the director will prepare weekend supplies, manage leader boxes, and run errands for supplies. They will also be responsible for organizing and putting away supplies. Regular meetings with the Kids Pastor are expected. For Discipleship Transformation Tuesday, the director will prepare content for elementary-aged children and leaders, print curriculum, and prepare supplies. This includes working with the Kids Specialist on recruiting and hiring workers for discipleship classes and collaborating with the Kids Pastor/TT leader on strategy and planning for TT nights. Administration of paperwork for childcare and discipleship workers, as well as recruiting and interviewing potential workers for Tuesdays, are also part of this role. The director will be on-site for Tuesday discipleship coordination and facilitation. On weekends, the director will provide support where needed to ensure a safe and engaging church service for children. This includes being ready to teach, work with leaders, connect with children, and facilitate Sunday mornings. They will assist the Kids Pastor with weekend services, including covering in their absence. Availability and presence in the Kingdom Kids area during weekend services are expected to offer excellent customer service to families and children. Regular attendance at one weekend service is also encouraged.

Responsibilities

  • Provide coordination and administrative support to the Kingdom Kids team.

  • Be ready to teach whole group lessons, work with leaders, connect with kids, and facilitate Sunday mornings.
  • Assist Kingdom Kids Pastor with weekend services, including covering in the event of their absence.
  • Be available and present in the Kingdom Kids area during weekend services, offering great customer service to our families and children.
  • Regularly attend one weekend service when able.
