About The Position

The King Air Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) Captain position is contingent upon contract award and reports to the Head of Flight Operations. The Captain delivers compliant, safe, reliable, effective, efficient, and adaptable flight operations supporting contracts with the U.S. Government, allies, and partners. The role leads assigned flight and mission crews executing deployed, multi-sensor ISR missions, with responsibility for operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and mission success in dynamic and contested environments. The position includes deployed operations at austere locations and requires adapting to contract-driven flight schedules, non-standard work hours, extended duty periods, and changing operational priorities. Travel is 50%.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline or at least 4 years of equivalent aviation experience.
FAA Commercial Airplane Multi-Engine Land Certificate with Instrument Rating, or Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
FAA First- or Second-Class Medical Certificate.
At least 1,000 hours of Pilot in Command (PIC) time.
At least 100 hours of multi-engine time.
At least 2 years of operational experience in civil or military aviation environments.
Solid understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations, particularly 14 CFR Parts 61 and 91.
Working knowledge of Aviation Management Systems, Safety Management Systems (SMS), and Risk Management Frameworks.
Skill in aviation weather analysis, flight planning, and flight-following tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Teams for coordination.
Meet FAA records and background requirements, including an acceptable review of the FAA Pilot Records Database (PRD).
Current U.S. passport and driver’s license.
Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
U.S. citizenship and eligibility to access classified information in accordance with U.S. Government contract requirements.
Ability to work non-standard hours driven by contract flight scheduling; exempt employees must be able to be on call and available.

Nice To Haves

Type rating in BE-200 and/or BE-300 aircraft.
FAA Certificated Flight Instructor (CFI), Instrument Instructor (CFII), and Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI) credentials, or graduation from a U.S. Military Flight Instructor Training Program.
Familiarity with DCMA 8210.1D and CNAF M-3710.7 flight operations requirements.
Understanding of ISR Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) and their application in deployed operations.
Demonstrated critical thinking, problem solving, creativity, negotiation, conflict management, and time management in mission-driven environments.
Prior experience supporting U.S. Government or allied ISR missions in austere or deployed settings.

Responsibilities

Serve as Pilot in Command (PIC) and crew lead for deployed, multi-sensor ISR flight operations supporting U.S. Government, allied, and partner-nation objectives.
Plan, brief, execute, and debrief ISR missions in accordance with contractor procedures, SOPs, contractual tasking, and applicable FAA, ICAO, and host-nation regulations.
Lead flight and mission crews, ensuring effective communication, crew resource management, and disciplined execution throughout missions.
Promote and implement the Safety Management System; identify hazards, assess risk, and implement mitigation strategies.
Maintain flight currency, medical qualification, and proficiency in assigned aircraft and mission systems, and ensure crew readiness and training compliance.
Oversee aircraft preflight, mission configuration, performance calculations, and maintenance coordination to support airworthiness and mission availability.
Exercise sound judgment and tactical decision-making in dynamic deployed environments while prioritizing safety and mission success.
Serve as the primary in-flight liaison between the crew, site operations leadership, and mission command elements; prepare accurate mission documentation, reports, and debriefs.
Mentor less experienced aircrew and foster professionalism, accountability, and continual improvement.
Support deployed operations in remote or austere environments and adapt to mission schedules, extended duty periods, and changing priorities.
Protect classified and sensitive information in accordance with U.S. Government and company security policies, procedures, and contractual requirements.
