Position Summary: The Texas Screwworm Eradication (TSE) First Officer reports to the Base Manager and is responsible to provide safe and professional operation in Beechcraft King Air 90 aircraft.
Requirements
- High school diploma
- FAA Commercial multi-engine pilot certificate with instrument rating
- FAA First or Second Class Medical
- Minimum of 250 hours total time
- Ability to work as an effective team member through all facets of ground and flight operations
- Teachable, self-motivated, and hard-working
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Be able to learn and effectively use various computer programs for time/record keeping and travel/expense reporting
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of 500 hours total time
- Relevant college degree preferred
- Be fluent in Spanish
Responsibilities
- Perform all duties and responsibilities of the second in command (SIC)
- Be familiar with destination, alternate airports, actual and forecasted meteorological conditions, fuel and oil requirements, navigation and radio aids, and applicable NOTAMs
- Encourage a strong aviation safety culture and comply with the company’s safety management system
- Ensure Base Manager is informed of the customer, aircraft, weather, or other potential issues that may compromise mission accomplishment
- Proactively perform all assigned preflight, postflight, and reporting responsibilities
- Operate fly dispersal equipment during flights and clean fly dispersal equipment following flights
- Other duties as assigned
