Pilot-Captain position will be based out of Mexico/Texas. This King Air 90 Captain role exists to provide single-pilot expertise to our Sterile Insect Technique (SIT) Operations currently based out of Texas and Mexico and to meet company requirements and customer needs.

Requirements

  • Highschool diploma
  • FAA Commercial / Instrument / Multi-Engine license
  • A minimum of 1500 hours total flight time
  • A minimum of 500 hours PIC in an airplane
  • Ability to qualify as a single pilot captain
  • Possess at least a 2nd class FAA medical
  • Ability to work as a team member

Nice To Haves

  • 50 hours PIC instrument (simulated or in flight)
  • 50 hours PIC ME fixed wing in the last 12 months
  • 100 hours total time in Beechcraft King Air
  • 100 hours turbine time
  • Fluency in Spanish
  • Prior cross-cultural and foreign language experience

Responsibilities

  • Pilot the King Air 90 as a single pilot Captain in a safe and professional manner
  • Be familiar with destination, alternate airports, actual and forecasted meteorological conditions, fuel and oil requirements, navigation and radio aids, and applicable NOTAMs
  • Ensure completion of pre- and post-flight inspection of the aircraft before and after each mission
  • Fly accurately in relation to mission criteria
  • Communicate effectively with base manager, customer, and system operations center
  • Complete appropriate documentation for ATC and Customs and Border Protection coordination
  • Complete daily, weekly or monthly digital reports (maintenance records, timesheets, etc.) in an accurate and timely manner
  • Comply with customer contract reporting requirements
  • Other duties as assigned
