About The Position

Lifemark is seeking a passionate Kinesiologist to join their team in Kelowna, BC. This role is integral to promoting client healing and improving recovery time, aligning with Lifemark's philosophy of helping people move better and feel better. The Kinesiologist will work in a dynamic outpatient clinic, assisting clients impacted by injury through their individual recovery process as part of a Customized Recovery and Return-To-Work Program. They will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive, individualized care, supporting return to work and daily functioning. Opportunities include working with WorkSafe BC rehab programs, FCEs, Community services, and Veterans Rehabilitation services.

Requirements

• Registered and in good standing with the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists.
• Superior interpersonal relations, communication, problem-solving, time management, computer and documentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team.

Nice To Haves

• Clinical outpatient rehabilitation experience in areas such as WSBC, ICBC, JSV, return to work, Mental health, concussion, and musculoskeletal/orthopedic injury.
• Newly licensed Registered Kinesiology graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform biomechanical, fitness, and functional assessments under the mentorship and direction of a physiotherapist.
• Design, implement and supervise graded exercise, work conditioning and/or work hardening programs.
• Utilize e-charting software to document client sessions; submit reports to stakeholders promptly.
• Work cooperatively with clients to set and achieve functional goals.
• Complete functional components of reports for initial, progress and discharge.
• Ensure return-to-work plans with the client and employer have been made and documented in the client's chart.
