Kindergarten Teaching Assistant
About The Position
All Saints Academy is a Catholic school inspired by the Holy Spirit and dedicated to teaching and living as Jesus did. We are seeking a kindergarten teaching assistant to join the Lower Campus team as we work toward our shared purpose of forming saints to serve all. This hourly, school year only position provides direct support to the kindergarten teacher and students and also provides support to the kindergarten through second grade teaching team and students. The hours are 7:45 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Non-school day and summer employment opportunities may also be available.
Requirements
- Desire to work with early elementary students in an educational setting
- Experience working with preschool and/or school age children
- Upholds the teachings of the Catholic Church
- VIRTUS trained or willing to complete prior to start date
Responsibilities
- Assisting within the kindergarten classroom at the direction of the kindergarten teacher: Providing small group instruction, Supporting students academically/socially/emotionally/spiritually in collaboration with the kindergarten teacher
- Providing supervision in the lunchroom and at recess for kindergarten through 2nd grade students
- Supporting kindergarten, first, and second grade teachers when applicable
- Substitute teaching for kindergarten, first, and second grade teachers (if eligible to substitute teach)
