About The Position

As a Kindergarten Teacher at the Primrose School of Mt Juliet, you’ll help prepare students for elementary school through small group academic lessons, scientific investigation, creative expression, physical well-being, and social and emotional development.

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older to apply.
Must have a current Tennessee Teaching certificate or be in an eligible alternative licensure program.
Must have patience and a strong desire to love and nurture young children.
Must meet required state background check.
Must be able to work on iPad to enter children's daily logs and write incident reports and messages to parents.
Up to par with oral and written skills.
Patience, attentive, and understanding for young children and their developmental needs.
Sense of urgency and flexibility.
Positive and caring attitude.
Coachable (receptive to feedback).
Dependable (our school operations rely on and require your attendance).

Nice To Haves

Work experience in a licensed childcare facility preferred.

Responsibilities

Implement the lesson plans from the research-informed Balanced Learning® curriculum.
Prepare materials that help children explore their environment through learning activities and active play.
Enter children's daily logs and write incident reports and messages to parents using an iPad.
