About The Position

BASIS Austin is seeking a Kindergarten Teacher for an immediate start. The teacher evaluates students’ academic and social growth, maintains appropriate records, and prepares progress reports. The role involves communicating with parents about student progress, identifying student needs, and working with Subject Experts or other professional staff to address health, attitude, and learning concerns. The teacher provides differentiated instruction and implements IEPs and 504 Plans with fidelity. Duties may also include substitute and duty coverage, supervising students during classroom transitions, and occasionally representing BASIS Ed Texas at designated school-wide community events outside typical school hours.

Requirements

• Eligible to work in Texas Public Schools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related subject.
• Ability to obtain a valid fingerprint clearance through TEA.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as an elementary educator.
• Master’s degree in Education or a related subject.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with parents by email, conferences, and other means to discuss student progress.
• Identify student needs and cooperate with Subject Experts or other professional staff in assessing and helping students solve health, attitude, and learning problems.
• Provide differentiated instruction and execute IEPs and 504 Plans with fidelity.
• Provide substitute and duty coverage as needed.
• Supervise students during classroom transitions throughout the day.
• Occasionally represent BASIS Ed Texas at designated school-wide community events outside typical school hours.
