About The Position

Ridgeview Elementary is seeking a long-term substitute teacher for a Kindergarten classroom to cover a temporary absence while the teacher is out on maternity leave. This position will involve a classroom of our youngest learners. This position will run from October through the end of December 2026.

Requirements

• Must be able to teach the Kindergarten Curriculum.
• Must be able to use pacing guides and instructional resources.
• Must be able to deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons.
• Must be able to support a range of learners.
• Must be able to utilize technology effectively, including PowerSchool and Google Classroom.
• Must be able to manage assignments, assessments, and communication.
• Must be able to collaborate with the Kindergarten Team.
• Must be able to maintain a positive, structured classroom environment.
• Must be able to support student learning and accountability.
• Must be able to carry out standard teacher responsibilities, including attendance, grading, supervision, and communication with students and families.
• Must be able to perform other assigned tasks as needed.

Responsibilities
