About The Position

Join us for the 2026–2027 school year! Overdale Elementary is looking for a dynamic, caring individual to work in one of our kindergarten classrooms. The primary role of this position is to assist a certified teacher in providing instruction to individual or small groups and monitoring and reporting student progress.

Requirements

Strong communication skills and the ability to relate to students.
The belief that all kids can learn at high levels.
A positive attitude and a tremendous work ethic.
Dedicated to the profession.
Must meet one of the following: 48 college semester hours, An Associate’s Degree, OR High school diploma plus a passing score on the Paraeducator Assessment Exam.
Candidates must provide proof of educational requirements to HR upon recommendation for hire.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working with students, intervention systems, and small-group instruction is strongly desired.
New hires may bring up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience.
