About The Position

As a Kinaxis Business Architect at Kearney Activate, you will play a critical leadership role in driving supply chain planning transformation while expanding Kearney Activates footprint through business development and client engagement. This role operates at the intersection of business strategy, supply chain transformation, and technology enablement, partnering closely with clients and internal teams to deliver impactful, scalable planning solutions. Operating in a global, matrixed consulting environment, the Business Architect collaborates with senior client stakeholders, Kearney consulting teams, and technology partners to shape and deliver end-to-end planning transformations across platforms such as Kinaxis, o9, and similar solutions. This role is uniquely positioned as a hybrid of delivery leadership and commercial growth, responsible for both executing transformation programs and originating new opportunities. This role is both strategic and hands-on, balancing business architecture vision with practical execution across planning processes, data, and client-facing solutions. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Engineering, Information Systems, Operations, or a related field required.
  • Proven experience in supply chain planning, business architecture, consulting, or transformation roles.
  • Experience leading blueprinting efforts that translate business requirements into functional solution designs.
  • Experience assessing supply chain planning processes and tools for value realization and operational effectiveness.
  • Experience supporting client pursuits, pre-sales activities, or revenue-generating engagements.
  • Strong experience facilitating workshops, managing stakeholders, and delivering client-facing engagements.
  • Deep expertise across several of the following areas: Supply chain planning processes including demand, supply, inventory, S&OP / IBP, scenario planning, and fulfillment; Business process design and operating model development; Planning transformation and digital supply chain strategy; Value realization, ROI modeling, and performance improvement; Stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation.
  • Experience with supply chain planning platforms such as Kinaxis, o9, or similar tools
  • Understanding of supply chain data structures, integrations, and planning metrics
  • Familiarity with enterprise system design and functional solution architecture
  • Strong ability to translate business requirements into actionable solution designs
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Experience building relationships and driving alignment across cross-functional teams
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, client-facing consulting environment

  • Ability to apply industry-specific planning considerations such as demand variability, service levels, inventory trade-offs, product lifecycle complexity, and supply constraints to solution design.

Responsibilities

  • Lead blueprinting activities that translate business requirements into scalable solution designs across supply chain planning platforms, including process flows, planning logic, data requirements, user roles, and decision support needs.
  • Facilitate workshops and design sessions with stakeholders to define current-state challenges, future-state processes, and functional requirements.
  • Design end-to-end business processes across supply chain planning domains including demand planning, supply planning, inventory planning, S&OP / IBP, capacity planning, and order fulfillment.
  • Translate business needs into functional solution designs, configuration requirements, and implementation roadmaps across platforms such as Kinaxis, o9, and similar tools.
  • Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure solutions align with operational and strategic goals.
  • Conduct assessments of existing planning processes and systems to evaluate value realization, adoption, and operational effectiveness.
  • Support end-to-end transformation initiatives by aligning planning capabilities with broader digital supply chain strategies and maturity goals.
  • Partner with Kearney consulting teams to identify and develop opportunities within existing client accounts, aligning planning capabilities to broader transformation agendas.
  • Proactively identify, qualify, and shape new opportunities for planning assessments, implementations, and transformation initiatives.
  • Lead client-facing workshops and discovery sessions to diagnose planning challenges, quantify value potential, and position solutions.
  • Collaborate with Kinaxis and other ecosystem partners to co-develop account strategies and support deal progression through the sales lifecycle.
  • Contribute to early stage solutioning, including defining scope, approach, value proposition, and commercial framing.
  • Support and lead proposal development, client presentations, and solution demonstrations, bringing together business and technology perspectives.
  • Build and maintain senior client relationships to identify expansion opportunities and drive account growth.
  • Act as a thought partner to clients, bringing insights on supply chain trends, planning platforms, and transformation best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal leadership to develop go-to-market offerings, assets, and points of view that strengthen Kearney’s positioning in supply chain planning.
