About The Position

KidStrong Coaches lead engaging, 45-minute classes for children from approximately 12 months through age 11, using the science-based curriculum provided by the KidStrong HQ programming team. The curriculum supports children’s brain, body, and character development by helping them try new things, overcome challenges, celebrate progress, and build confidence. Coaches work with groups of 6–15 children and create a fun, motivating, safe, and professional class experience. Coaches build relationships with children and families by greeting families, learning children’s names, recognizing effort, celebrating milestones, explaining activities, and communicating progress. They demonstrate exercises, guide proper technique, provide appropriate hands-on support, and help parents of children ages three and younger understand their role in class. Coaches use the KidStrong Coach’s App to record attendance, awards, and other class information. The role also includes maintaining a clean and welcoming center, completing shift cleaning duties, supporting scheduled birthday parties and other center activities, and learning to lead camps during school breaks. Coaches review programming in advance, attend staff meetings and paid training, obtain certification through the KidStrong HQ Training and Certification team, and apply feedback while supporting their teammates. Professional communication with teammates through Slack may include periodic message checks between scheduled shifts as paid work time. Evening and/or weekend availability is required.
