About The Position

As a Kids Ministry Director-Fishers, you are an integral member of the Fishers team. The Kids Ministry Director-Fishers is responsible for providing a safe, engaging environment for kids from Birth-5th grade where children learn God Made Me, God Loves Me, and Jesus wants to be my forever friend.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree required
3-5 years of experience working in a kids’ ministry
Proven ability to attract, train, and retain adult volunteers
Able to multitask and react appropriately under pressure

Responsibilities

Work alongside the Fishers location team in alignment to Connection Pointe’s mission, vision, and values to raise the strongest generation of Christ followers
Communicates God’s word to kids in clear, creative, and relevant way s to understand and fall in love with Jesus and his Word.
Creates safe, engaging, and fun environments for kids to experience an atmosphere of wonder, joy, and belonging
Incorporates events that kids want to invite friends to and draws them deeper in relationship with God and others
Serve as primary point of contact for the Fishers location parents and guardians
Prepare curriculum and supplies
Set up and tear down for services as necessary
Teach in Kids services as needed
Communicate with volunteers throughout the week as needed.
Provide care to families and volunteers and connect them to other resources as prudent.
Follow security protocols including set up and oversight of check in database
Respond to emails and phone calls within 24 hours of being in the office
Perform related duties as assigned
Strive to improve personal and professional skills by looking for and participating in learning opportunities
Attend a weekly service to stay in tune with the direction of Connection Pointe and to continue developing spiritually
