About The Position

To assist the classroom teacher in providing a warm, nurturing environment where children can grow physically, emotionally, and intellectually. This role supports the University's mission of preparing students to pursue truth, give compassionate service, and participate in creating a more just and humane world.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of child development
• Flexibility
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be eligible for Federal Work Study

Responsibilities

• Help teachers maintain a productive learning environment in the classroom.
• Help teachers maintain cleanliness in the classroom.
• Know where the students are at all times.
• Supervise indoor and outdoor play.
• Read and interact with students to promote learning.
• Demonstrate ability to use independent judgment and initiative to support children in learning and safety.
• Performs other duties as requested.
