About The Position

The Kids Core Staff II position is responsible for providing a safe, protected, and engaging environment for children. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards, assisting with various child care duties, and fostering positive connections with children, members, and guests. The position requires creating an exciting and educational atmosphere while strictly enforcing policies related to child supervision and care.

Requirements

Must possess a minimum of three years of child care experience.
Caring, friendly demeanor.
Excellent customer service skills.
Mentoring skills.
Leadership skills.
Effective organizational skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks.
Adult/child CPR certification.
Adult AED certification.
Authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

Provide a safe, protected environment in Kids Core.
Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of Kids Core.
Assist with washroom chores.
Maintain the kids snack that come into Kids Core.
Maintain order and cleanliness standards according to policy.
Connect with the children, members and guests.
Check emails and respond in a timely manner.
Register children for programs in Club Automation.
Create an exciting and educational atmosphere for children.
Enforce Sports Core policies concerning children in the care of a drop-off center (versus daycare) e.g. diaper changing protocol, immediate emergency notification, parents on the premises.
When there are no children in Kids Core, assume responsibilities for cleaning and organizing, updating of displays and other duties in need of attention.
Care for specific and personal needs of each child. Includes providing comfort and consistent affection and discipline. Encourage uplifting interactions and activity; understand and promote individuality.
Promote and maintain a clean, healthy physical environment within the Kids Core areas of responsibility.
Maintain toys and equipment and provide recommendations regarding purchases.
Ensure children do not leave the Kids Core unattended and that the room is never unattended with children present.
Be available to all children arriving and leaving and assisting parents with the sign in and sign-out procedures.
