The Kids Club Staff / Daytime Coordinator provides a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for children while supporting daily Kids Club operations. This role is responsible for caring for infants through school-age children, building positive relationships with families, and assisting with the daily coordination of the Kids Club space and staff.

  • Complete member check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of children in Kids Club.

  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff.
  • Attend required staff meetings and trainings.
  • Lead age-appropriate activities, including crafts and active play.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight of the Kids Club space during daytime hours, ensuring smooth daily operations.
  • Support and assist Kids Club staff with guidance, problem-solving, and daily needs.
  • Plan and implement daily activities that are fun, engaging, and developmentally appropriate.
  • Coordinate and complete cleaning and sanitation tasks to maintain YMCA health and safety standards.
  • Address parent, child, or staff concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assist leadership in maintaining organization, communication, and program flow.
  • Share information about YMCA programs, services, and policies with members.
  • Encourage members to build stronger connections with the YMCA community.
  • Complete abuse risk management training and follow all safety, supervision, and mandated reporting policies.
