About The Position
We are seeking a passionate and engaging STEM After School Instructor to lead our Kids Chemistry program for students in grades K-5. This role involves teaching exciting chemistry concepts in an after-school setting. The program runs from September to October 2026, with classes held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3:15 PM to 4:15 PM in Haworth, NJ.
Requirements
- Experience working with children in a K-5th grade setting.
- Knowledge of basic chemistry and STEM principles.
- Ability to create and deliver engaging lesson plans.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in teaching STEM or chemistry specifically.
- Background in aviation concepts.
- Previous experience in after-school programs.
Responsibilities
- Lead and instruct K-5th grade students in chemistry and aviation STEM concepts.
- Prepare and deliver engaging lesson plans.
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe learning environment.
- Communicate with parents and school staff as needed.
- Facilitate hands-on experiments and activities.
